Thank You

LifeWalk's Kick-Off Party May 2nd 2007 was a Great event and all who attended enjoyed great food and fun. Storms hit the area that evening leaving many in the dark but the spirit's were bright this night. Thanks to everyone who participated in the Silent Auction. Proceeds raised exceeded our goal and $7400.00 was what we topped.

Special thanks to Tommy Bahama Rum, Bud Light and The Apartment for their generous support. We would also like to thank Jennifer Evans for her design skills and printing of the LifeWalk Kick-Off invitations.

Cherchez La femme Wine tasting LifeWalk fundraiser held May 17th 2007 was a nice evening with snacks and wine and a great atmosphere blossomed.

Dallas Symphony Orchestra hosted a Hispanic Festival at the Meyerson June 2nd 2007 where different cultures of Mexico were displayed in art, music and food.

Special thanks to our Bi-linqual volunteers who attended and provided much needed information to the community.

LifeWalk co-chairs attended the Black Tie Launch Party June 14th 2007. As a beneficiary of Black Tie, AIDS Arms receives funding that is directly used for clients in the Dallas area.

The MetroBall June 9th 2007 benefiting GDMAF had over 200 people in attendance and raised over $19,000.  Support from the Leather Knights and TGRA helped make it a tremendous success.

Special thanks to Michael O'Brien, manager of TMC, 4 wonderful dancers, Central Flaggers and our LifeWalk members who were there in full force to show support to our Partner Agency for 2007.

Miss LifeWalk Pageant June 24th 2007 was held at the Round Up Saloon and the Winner was Stephanie Gray representing the Rainbow Ranch. The evening was never a drag and full of energy.

Special thanks to Guys and Dolls for presenting a great show and to all who participated along with Round Up Saloon who are always our gracious host.

LifeBark will be launched for 2007. LifeBark is an opportunity for people to involve their pets in LifeWalk and raise funds towards LifeWalk by your 4 legged family members.

AIDS Arms had a contest for staff to come up with a name for our newest Teams involving our puppy dogs. After many suggestions and entries, LifeBark and the theme "Waggin our tails fur a good cause" seemed to be the perfect fit.

Fun is on the Way

Pride Radio presents Beach Balls & Babes and will take place on July 28th at Station 4 @ 8 pm. This party will include food, prizes and a beach wear contest and suggested donation of $5 at the door.

To all of ours teams out there, we have Team Captain Boxes available for you to use at your events that our loaded with information and goodies from koozies to sports towels, registration forms, newsletters and more. Pick these up to increase your exposure while in public.

Dallas Pride Parade is Sunday September 16th 2007 and LifeWalk will have a float in the parade again this year. If you would like to help with building and the parade itself please let us know!

LifeWalk will be on October 14th 2007 with registration at noon, walk and fun run at 1pm. Honorary Chair Dr. Brady Allen will be present also. Walk. Relax. Enjoy. Make a day of it in Lee Park followed by a festival in the park complete with beer & wine, live music, vendors, information booths, concessions! Live Music includes Eliot Popkin, Leah Marr, and Jimmy Lee Reeves Band.

AAI will be kicking off its Holiday Coat and Toy Drive at LifeWalk. We encourage folks to bring a donation of coats and/ or toys to our drop off site at LifeWalk. These items will then be distributed to our Clients during the Holiday Season. Help bring warmth to someone in need.
